Cords:
This past week, I have been determining which cords I need to play my first song. The video by TenThumbs, which I added to my last post, was very helpful. The guy in the video states which cord he will play, demonstrates it, and has a diagram in the corner that clearly shows where to place your fingers. As a beginner, I find this diagram the most helpful thing ever! It saved me time having to look up what a specific note on a Ukulele looks like.
The notes I need to play the song “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz are “C, G, Am, and F.”
Practice:
Now that I know what chords I need, I can practice placing my fingers on the strings in this order. I am working on getting the shapes down before strumming the chords. This has been the most challenging part for me so far, and I still need a lot of practice.
